A legend, from a different light.

Rhythm Arts Production is producing a charity theatre called Mayang. It will be shown in August at Damansara Performing Arts Centre.

Mayang is a Malaysian legend about a fisherman falling in love with a princess from a different world. With the power of love and desire, his soul is taken away from our humanly world. In this theatre, a new perspective will be thrown to the audience where a long practiced tradition is challenged. Do we stick to this belief, or should we take the risk by changing it?

This is a beautiful effort between SEED Malaysia and Rhythm Arts Production. SEED or Supporting Early Education Development is an NGO that works to develop the Audio Book for kids with sight disabilities.

This is one out of many forms of actions to contribute and give back to the society. Performing arts has always been a platform to reach out to people, to touch people's heart, to ignite an idea in one's mind. And these are the goals behind 'Mayang'.
